We are proud and honoured to support the Military Families Support Group.
Susan Smith, from Tamworth, formed the Military Families Support Group, following the death of her son, Philip Hewett, who was killed in Iraq in July 2005. The aim of the organisation is to offer help and support to families of soldiers who have lost a loved one through conflict and war. illness, accident or suicide, and also to be there to talk to serving soldiers in confidence if they just want some one to talk to.
We heard Susan appealing for assistance on Television and we felt obliged to help. We contacted the BBC, who, in turn, passed her details on to us. We wanted to do our part to help our servicemen and women and their families and friends left behind.
