We are very pleased to announce the launch of a brand new, bespoke website for the Television industry. The website was commissioned during the latter part of 2007 and has been built using a combination of our Virtual Consultant recruitment system and a large amount of bespoke programming.
The website is a database of new and existing TV Experts available for the TV industry. Experts may register their details, upload their CV and photograph and make themselves available for TV companies who are looking for experts across a wide range of sectors.
This is their launch press release: May 2008, London, UK, www.findaTVexpert.com is an online database of experts who want to be considered for TV & Media opportunities. From art therapists to zoologists and everyone in between, because you never know what the industry will be looking for next. Findatvexpert.com is run by Claire Richmond - a TV producer with 15 years experience making & developing programmes - and provides a service that isn’t available elsewhere: 1. To give experts the chance to showcase their expertise to the industry; highlight any projects they’re involved with - or would like to be involved with – that could be of interest to the media; and let the industry know they’re interested in TV & Media opportunities. 2. To provide TV & Media companies with a fast and effective way of finding experts. They might go to the site to find a specific expert for a specific programme or article - or they might go to the site to browse through the experts, read their profiles and get the inspiration for a new series or the next ‘big thing’. ”I turned down a 10 months TV contract at the end of last year to set up www.findatvexpert.com because it’s what the industry needs and the experts want – and the response I’ve had so far has been fantastic. Programmes like The Apprentice, Location Location Location, The Choir, Strictly Come Dancing & Jamie’s Kitchen all needed experts with passion, credibility and commitment when they were devised – and so will many more. News & breakfast shows also need experts to comment on a topic or add weight to an argument but there’s never been an easy way to find them – until now,” says Claire Richmond, MD – findaTVexpert.com. To register as an expert you have to have the skills, qualifications and experience to prove that you’re an expert in your field of business – and the desire to be considered for TV&Media opportunities. A year’s membership costs £100.
